Rock Pools

When I was a kid we used to go to the beach and play in the rock pools. The motion of the waves crashing onto the rocks and the foamy water rinsing back out into the ocean, with the smell of the sea air always transported me to a magical place.

This painting is like peering into a moment of my childhood where I can still feel the coldness of the ocean as it rushes around my feet and runs between my toes before returning back into it’s watery kingdom.

A childhood captured in a moment. It doesn't get better than that.
