Melting Moment

This painting is about a moment in time when everything stands still.
 
A garden next to a creek, flowers sprouting through leaves on the ground, and the frozen waters revealing a vibrant world of colour beneath it as the ice melts away under the suns rays to reveal an icy garden frozen in time.
 
The colours are quite subdued compared to most of my paintings,  yet it's that sense of serenity it brings into a room with the muted tones that immediately warms up the space its in, and that is what makes this a very special piece.
