Blooming Buds
This painting was inspired by a bunch of Hydrangeas in my own garden all full of buds, and ready to explode into a mass of colour for the ultimate Summer bloom.
It's quite a calming painting to look at, and like the hydrangeas in my own garden, the beauty and simplicity of each hydrangea captures your attention along with the curiosity of what will bloom from the mass of all those buds.
Like all my paintings, it's quite textured with the layers of paint really bringing it to life.
It was quite fun paining this one, I hope it captures your imagination as it did mine through out the process of creating this piece.
