Summer Storm

This painting is inspired by the Summer afternoon storms we get in Sydney where a hot day ends with intense storms and torrential rain The colours around us are awash as the rain blankets the city around us and turns calm into crazy.
 
This painting shows the intensity of the rain and how it consumes everything in its path as the bright colours of a summer garden are askew in the storms downpour.
 
When I look at this painting it truely takes my breath away. The colours, the textures, the emotion I feel looking at it is everything I've wanted to paint since the very first day I started my art journey.
